Piracy can never be justified the way TPB are proposing; just because the Bond films may feature a BMW and a Sony Ericsson phone, sponsorship money isn’t going to fund a movie like that and then some – previous Bond movies brought in huge revenue, and that’s why they spend the money, because they know they’ll make it back in sales.

Just because some others will buy the product, we’re not automatically given the right to take it for free. Eventually, as broadband connections increase, and as online distribution becomes more readily available, I think movies will have a better chance of staying afloat as legal-downloads take off as online music did.

Don’t confuse the two, though : The overheads of producing an album are potentially free. The overheads of a blockbuster movie like Bond are ridiculous, so they could still be losing alot of money here.

Anyway, that’s my ramble for the day.
